Sept 4, 2010 - Labor Day weekend - a time to think about and appreciate how hard our horses work for us and have done so since being domesticated thousands of years ago. From charging into battle to pulling a plow, helping police perform crowd control or delivering our mail across thousands of miles, helping rope and drive cattle or climbing mountains so we wouldn't have to hike, the horse is ever-working at our request. In the heat of summer or the ice-cold of winter, they've carried us forward through history and accelerated man's progress with their solid backs beneath us. Don't forget to thank your horse this weekend for all his/her hard work, and that of his ancestors.
